The Behavioral Sciences Building (BSB) is located near the intersection of Harrison Street and Morgan Street.
Transit
- We’re about a block away from the West exit of the UIC/Halsted Blue Line train station.
- The 7-Harrison and 60-Blue Island/26th CTA busses pick up on Harrison, in front of the building.
Getting to our Center
BSB is famously confusing. Here are some step by step directions for getting to the DCC (room 235). If you get lost, feel free to email us or call: dcc@uic.edu, or 312-355-7050.
From the Harrison Street Entrance:
Using Elevator:
- When you enter the front doors of the building, you’ll have two choices. You can go left toward a food court, or you can go straight into the classroom portion of the building. Go straight.
- Go slightly right until you encounter a large set of stairs. Go around the stairs (on either side) and continue past the seating area to the elevators.
- Take the closest bank of elevators to the 2nd floor. (Any of these elevators will work but for these directions, take one of the elevators that’s closest to where you were coming from.)
- Go left out of the elevator, and take an immediate left. Be careful not to go back into one of the departmental areas! Go through the doorway and you should be near all of the stairs again.
- Take a right when you get to the railing overlooking the staircases.
- Go right into the next small lobby area with a cluster of rooms. The DCC is in room 235.
Using Stairs:
- When you enter the front doors of the building, you’ll have two choices. You can go left toward a food court, or you can go straight into the classroom portion of the building. Go straight.
- Go slightly right until you encounter a large set of stairs. These stairs have several staircases that go from the ground level to a round landing, and then there is another set of staircases leading to the second floor in various directions.
- Go straight up the staircase you encounter first, and continue straight up from the landing to the second floor.
- At the top of the stairs go left immediately, so that you’re between the railing overlooking the staircases and a wall.
- Go right into the next small lobby area with a cluster of rooms. The DCC is in room 235.
