New to UIC? Don’t go it alone! Meet up with UIC DCC to ease into the semester, connect with other people, and get to know some key spots on campus.

Daley Library
Do you like total silence when you study, or a livelier spot? Check out the different areas of Daley Library, get to know the resources they offer, and then get some studying done–in community!
Meet in first floor lobby
If you're coming later, we'll be in the IDEA Commons classroom.
- 3:30pm Meet in the first floor lobby and explore different areas of the Library
- 4:00pm (ish) Debrief in IDEA Commons, meet Library folks who can answer questions and share info about resources
- 4:30pm (ish) Co-working study session! Get a steady start for your coursework and homework.
Covid safety: UIC does not require masking, but we are continuing to mask indoors as an accessibility measure for sick/immunocompromised folks and those living interdependently with them. Please wear a mask! We’ll have extras on hand. For our Community Lunch, we’ll be unmasking to eat outdoors, but we encourage you to stay masked if that’s best for your body/mind.
Access info: All locations are physically accessible with elevators. We will have auto-captions with us on a tablet for tour portions and projected into the space for places where we settle in.
