New to UIC? Don’t go it alone! Meet up with UIC DCC to ease into the semester, connect with other people, and get to know some key spots on campus.
Returning students, you should come too! Share your hard-earned wisdom & get a little community time.

You Can Sit With Us Community Lunch
United Table Dining Hall & West Terrace (Student Center East)
Meet up at Student Center East & find the Dining Hall with us! A UIC chef will pop out and answer any questions we might have about food options in Dining Services. Bring a lunch (or buy something) and join us for a community meal on the West Terrace–we’ll chat and debrief on how the first week went!
- 1:00pm Meet at Halsted Street entrance of SCE, and find United Table together
- 1:05pm (ish) Check out United Table, meet with a chef to ask any questions, get food if wanted
- 1:25pm (ish) Head to West Terrace to eat lunch together outdoors
Covid safety: UIC does not require masking, but we are continuing to mask indoors as an accessibility measure for sick/immunocompromised folks and those living interdependently with them. Please wear a mask! We’ll have extras on hand. For our Community Lunch, we’ll be unmasking to eat outdoors, but we encourage you to stay masked if that’s best for your body/mind.
Access info: All locations are physically accessible with elevators. We will have auto-captions with us on a tablet for tour portions and projected into the space for places where we settle in.
